Cradle version 7.5 out now!
Cradle version 7.5 adds some significant new features including support for ReqIF, a REST based Web Services Interface and ODBC.
Cradle’s import export facilities have been extended to support ReqIF (Requirements Interchange Format). ReqIF is an XML file format that can be used to exchange requirements and their associated metadata, between software tools from different vendors.
The Cradle Web Services Interface (WSI) is a REST based HTTP API. The WSI allows clients to use simple HTTP requests to browse Cradle schema information, run queries, follow links, view / create / edit items etc.
Cradle’s native installation uses file oriented record based system DISAM. However, its is now possible to store your Cradle data in a different database via ODBC (Open Datbase Connectivity). Oracle and MySQL databases are supported.
